We’ve started receiving our first inappropriate messages in the sex shop chat. For example, one guy asked me to show him my ass, and I replied, “$100” 🙂 That’s the kind of conversation we sometimes get. There are normal inquiries as well, but I’m a terrible sales manager. I simply fail to notice and miss some important messages.
Even when I do see a message, I can’t always give a proper answer. I thought I would handle everything quickly, but almost every question leaves me stuck. I have to Google the product, study its specifications, and figure everything out because I still don’t know much about this niche. All of this takes a lot of time. I expected questions like, “Can I order this product from you?” — “Yes, you can. Go ahead and place your order” 🙂
I checked the rankings a few days ago, and the site’s organic performance has dropped significantly. The decline affected the entire keyword set — practically everything fell, which is also visible on the graph in Google Search Console. I still don’t understand what caused it. Every time my SEO results decline, it feels incredibly frustrating. No matter how long I work in this industry, I still can’t get used to it — it feels like the first time, every time 🙁 I hope it’s just another random fluctuation and everything will recover because the site had received a decent boost and reached 200 unique visitors per day.
I’ll keep the chat for now because it does work: I managed to convert one customer and make a whole $20 🙂 The SMM team is still getting up to speed, while we’re preparing some potentially viral content. We plan to create something provocative and shareable that people will want to send to others. Well, “plan” might be a strong word — we’ll experiment and see what we can come up with 🙂
