Segment Your Remarketing by Specific Product Types
I apologize for being away for so long. I took a short break from work. During this time, I accumulated plenty of information that I would like to share with you. Today, I want to tell you about a technique that helped us reduce the cost per click in Google remarketing by nine times for a motorcycle parts online store.
Initially, we used standard branded remarketing—ads that followed visitors around and displayed the website’s logo. The average cost per click was UAH 1, with a CTR of 1.54%. What did we do? We tried segmenting our remarketing campaigns by moped brand. For example, users who visited the page for Delta moped parts https://motozilla.com.ua/model/Delta/ began seeing ads such as: “We know you own a Delta moped. Stock up on spare parts in advance,” accompanied by an image of the moped. The visitors were probably shocked that we knew which moped they owned.)
We applied the same approach to scooters and other types of motorcycles. What happened as a result? The CTR increased approximately threefold to 4.64%, reducing the cost per click to UAH 0.11. This allowed us to attract nine times more targeted traffic to the website with the same advertising budget.
Conclusion: segment your remarketing campaigns by specific product types and categories, connect your advertising messages to particular brands, and try to anticipate what people want to see based on the pages they visit on your website.
