I Recently Discovered a New Way to Communicate with an Audience
I recently discovered a new way to communicate with an audience—doodle videos. What are they for, and what are their benefits? They are an alternative to expensive video production, which requires hiring a camera operator, finding a location, preparing decorations, lighting and additional equipment, and then editing all the footage.
A doodle video costs around 1,500–3,000 rubles, and in return, you get a ready-made video presentation of your product that can be promoted through YouTube advertising. It solves three tasks at once:
1. Brand awareness. Brand advertising is shown to a target audience interested in motorcycle parts, gradually making the brand more memorable to potential customers.
2. SEO promotion. You may be surprised, but targeted traffic from social media—especially from YouTube when it comes to Google—can influence a page’s rankings for relevant keywords when visitors demonstrate positive behavioral signals. I’ll publish a separate post about this.
3. Sales. And, of course, the video helps generate sales. The conversion rate is very low, but a small percentage of viewers make a purchase immediately after clicking through from the video. I was also a little surprised that someone could watch a 20-second doodle video, visit the website, and buy motorcycle parts.
Here is the video we created for our motorcycle parts online store: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFVgXTMGJGE
