In short, I want to share a few tricks and techniques for getting backlinks from top forums. The usual approach doesn’t work here: if you simply try to insert a link, long-time forum members will call you out within ten seconds, and the moderators will delete everything. You need to be creative 🙂 Sometimes you find an excellent, authoritative, and active forum where people are constantly talking and new messages appear quickly. You want to place your link there so badly that you simply can’t resist. So how can you do it?
1. Hide the Link in an Emoji or Punctuation Mark. Register on the forum and leave several comments in different threads on your first day. The following day, join a conversation with a regular forum member, start a debate, and use plenty of emojis to appear emotional. Then carefully wrap one of those emojis in a link using the editor or BBCode.
It is important to include emojis in every message, preferably more than one. You can use the same approach with a period or comma. Join the conversation, turn a punctuation mark into a link, add more text afterward, and ask a question. Once the other person replies, continue the discussion so that the message containing your link moves further up the conversation history. Congratulations — you’ve outsmarted the forum moderator 🙂
2. Editing — the Classic Method. This technique will not work on every forum. First, you need to confirm that published messages can still be edited later, preferably after at least a few hours. If that option is available, great. Find a relevant thread and begin participating in the discussion while naturally using some useful keywords in your posts — you know why. Ideally, keep the conversation going until the message you plan to edit and add your link to has moved onto an older page and become buried among previous posts.
A few hours later, or the next day, return to your old message, edit it, and add the keyword-rich anchor text you prepared in advance. Could the link still be removed? Of course. However, its chances of surviving are relatively high because it is already on the second page, which moderators are less likely to check.
Please share your feedback about getting backlinks from difficult forums. Drop some fire emojis if this topic is relevant to you, and I’ll know whether I should prepare the next parts soon. I still know plenty of other methods 🙂
