They’re blackmailing me and demanding $650 💵. What am I supposed to do now?
I recently received this email—I’ve attached a screenshot. Overall, it’s well written and quite convincing. I’ve received plenty of similar scam emails, so I’ve already developed immunity to them 🥦
The problem is that some people still fall for these scams, and every campaign has its conversion rate. Send 100,000 emails, and someone will believe the story and transfer the money. I searched for information on forums and found posts from victims who had actually paid the scammers 😞
How can someone be held accountable for this, and what should we do about such scams in general?
