We added products using the same category structure as the supplier’s website. From an SEO perspective, this isn’t exactly the right approach. From an entrepreneur’s perspective, however, it’s a minimum viable model that will allow us to see the first results without losing motivation while waiting for a miracle.
Next, we completed the Payment and Delivery sections, had a good laugh while preparing the Returns and Exchanges page, and purchased a SIM card for customer inquiries. The most interesting part was connecting the online payment service. We spent a long time arguing with the bank’s representatives about the pop-up banner requiring users to confirm that they are over 18.
On the one hand, the website contains adult content. On the other hand, Ukrainian law only prohibits selling alcohol and tobacco products to minors. The banner also slows down the website, which is critical for the mobile version of an online store. Losing even a fraction of a second can affect future revenue. People don’t like to wait.
In the end, this moral and ethical dilemma wasn’t resolved in our favor. At least we managed to connect online payments. Welcome )
