My Website Network Was Hacked a Couple of Weeks Ago

It looks like my network was hacked a couple of weeks ago, and someone started publishing articles in Chinese on some of my websites.
All of this quickly made its way into Google’s index and search results. We’ve already found and fixed the problem: removed the third-party pages, patched the vulnerability, changed the passwords, and updated the plugins. However, this crap is still showing up in search results(
I’m now submitting the deleted URLs for recrawling, checking the websites through Search Console, and looking for any remaining generated pages, new users, or suspicious files. Make sure you check your sitemap as well — some of the spam pages managed to get into mine.
So, if you have a large website network, it isn’t enough to check occasionally whether your websites are still working. You need to regularly monitor newly indexed pages, admin users, plugins, and server files. Otherwise, you might not notice the hack until the Chinese pages have already started generating impressions in Google)
Now I’m waiting for all the spam to disappear from the search results completely. Hopefully, it won’t affect the rankings of the legitimate pages.
