We built around 50 backlinks to the website using a mix of link types, including profiles, forums, submissions, and guest posts. After that, the website gained solid positions across its target keyword cluster. There are only a few clicks in Google Search Console so far, so we need to keep pushing it towards the top.
Google is unpredictable. You need to launch more websites to achieve results and test everything. Sometimes even 300 backlinks aren’t enough to move a website, while this one only needed 50 to start gaining positions — despite having fairly competitive keywords according to Ahrefs.
I take the same actions with all my websites. Some grow, while others remain dead weight. The ideal scenario is when a website reaches the top 50 without any backlinks, but I don’t have many sites like that. Usually, a new website initially gains some rankings after launch, only to lose them later.
We registered 10 domains and built 50 backlinks to each one. We continue working with those that take off and leave the rest alone.
Backlinks are essential for ranking on Google.
