How Motozilla grew from 0 to 27,000 TikTok followers in two months: 5,000,000 views per month and hundreds of thousands of views on each video.
My former classmate and friend started making informative TikTok videos on various topics, mostly interesting facts and news. A presenter on camera, editing, delivery, pacing, and good visuals—his videos began receiving over 100,000 views, with some reaching several million.
I found this format interesting and effective, so I invited him to manage our TikTok account and produce motorcycle-related videos using the same approach. We prepared a list of topics, recorded the first batch of videos, and started publishing them. The very first video, about the Ukraine bicycle, took off and has already received around 900,000 views.
We continued using the same approach, publishing one video every two days. The videos started performing well, and our follower count began to grow. For us, at least 100,000 views per video is now considered a normal result. After reaching our first 1,000 followers, I added a link to the store in the profile bio.
Everything looks amazing, almost like a fairy tale. But how can we measure the effectiveness of these videos and their impact on sales? Analytics does not properly track direct visits from TikTok to the website or show the actual number of clicks, although I think there should be quite a few. Should we use a UTM tag?
If we break it down into a simple funnel—video views → profile views → link clicks → purchases—it’s easy to assume that the videos should generate sales. Especially considering that the profile receives around 27,000 views per month.
