Why am I doing this? There are several reasons:
1) Abuse resistance — even after the smallest complaint without any evidence, support is already threatening to shut down my server
2) Support responds to requests very slowly
3) There’s no option to choose a server in a specific region, such as Brazil for LATAM traffic
4) I’m using the highest VPS plan available, but it only includes 150 GB of storage
5) I’ve already used all the available storage, and they’re suggesting that I rent another server because the current one can’t be upgraded
6) The server is constantly under heavy load even with low traffic, and the websites are running slowly. I contact support, and they say everything is fine, even though the websites won’t load
7) There’s no standard protection against hacking, malware, or DDoS attacks. My web developer explained this issue to me. My websites are constantly being DDoS-attacked, hacked, or infected with malware.
So, I’m moving to another hosting provider where some of these problems shouldn’t exist in the first place. We’ll see how it handles the rest over time. My web developer is transferring the websites right now. I’ll rent several servers and distribute 50–70 websites across each one.
As I mentioned earlier, my revenue in May has probably dropped by around 50%. Many websites across the network lost rankings. On top of that, the brand that generated those few conversions in Tier 1 countries was replaced, and the new one doesn’t convert nearly as well.
But I’m not giving up. My website networks targeting Mexico and Chile seem to have matured quite well. We’ll build some backlinks to them and see what happens. In general, with EMDs and newly registered domains, time works in your favor — even without backlinks or any network-related strategies.
There are still a few days left in May to pick up several more deposits from Tier 1 countries.
