About Payout Rates in iGaming
People in the comments are often surprised by high payout rates. They look for a catch, question the terms offered in certain GEOs, and can’t understand why some affiliates receive great deals while others don’t.
How not to do it:
This is how affiliates often ask an advertiser for rates:
— Hi, please send me your tracking links.
— Which GEOs do you need?
— All of them.
— What terms are you looking for?
— Give me the same good rates you offer everyone else.
This is the biggest and most common mistake: requesting tracking links for every GEO at once and asking for “the same good rates as everyone else.” With this kind of communication, you’ll probably be offered a $150–200 CPA with KPIs attached to the test.
How to do it properly:
Hi. I have SEO traffic from a website network in Canada—around 700 clicks per month. I’d like to add your offer to a split test and test the product. The traffic source is cross-brand SEO. The keywords include the brand name, brand name + casino, brand name + registration, and similar queries.
Here’s an example of one of the websites. Here are the traffic statistics for another product. For the test, I’m looking for a hybrid deal: €400 CPA + 30% RevShare, with no KPIs. We’ll run a test cap of 10 FTDs, review the results, and adjust the terms accordingly. I can launch the traffic today or tomorrow.
An advertiser will always take your traffic if it’s profitable for them—whether they pay you $300 or $500. The most important thing is to deliver traffic that generates revenue for the product.
To put it another way, the real question is what percentage of its profit the advertiser is willing to share with you. It’s no secret that exactly the same work can be paid very differently.
One person earns $700 per month, while another earns $3,000 for doing the same work. Someone in India might earn $2 per hour, while someone in the US receives $30 for the same job. It works the same way here.
The advertiser’s goal is to buy traffic as cheaply as possible and monetize it for as much as possible. These are basic economic principles. The more specific and transparent your proposal is, the better the terms you can potentially negotiate.
High payout rates are primarily about knowing how to negotiate and support your position with solid arguments.
Hugs to everyone 🫂
