Remember I told you about my new project—a young site where I identified a cool niche by analyzing competitors? I’m sharing the initial growth metrics (covering the last month, from late December to late January).
All traffic is coming from search. The bounce rate is within normal limits; page views are low, so I’ll be working to improve that. Personally, I think it’s not bad. I’m happy with the growth rate. I want to reach 1,000 unique visitors a day by summer. I don’t know how yet, of course, but I’m going to give it a shot.
I’ll be posting here more often—I’ve been a bit MIA since December. Right now, I’m running an experiment with a single article targeting a keyword with about 80,000 exact matches in Wordstat (it’s a very powerful, high-potential keyword). It’s currently ranking 10th–15th, and I want to push it into the top 5–7. I’ll definitely report back on the results, complete with screenshots—just the way you like it.
