Google rankings improved in a single day following just one change to the webpage

Our Google rankings improved in just one day after I made a single change to a page: I added good old-fashioned content to the category description. To me, this is clear evidence that Google still responds well to detailed content and long-form articles.
Here’s an example from our bicycle pumps category page.
1) On March 23, I researched the keywords and prepared a content brief. Once the text was written, I added it to the page — you can see it at the bottom. I put a lot of work into it: I gathered a full set of keywords, including long-tail queries, structured the content in detail, and added plenty of photos, a video, and tables.
2) On March 24, I added the content and checked the rankings.
3) On March 25, the page was reindexed, and the rankings started to improve. Queries that hadn’t ranked before began to appear, while existing rankings moved up. It’s all in the screenshots.
All of this happened in just one day. I didn’t make any other changes to the page or buy backlinks to it or the homepage 👀
My takeaway: create detailed content and long-form articles for Google 🤞
