How Are You Handling Yet Another Google Update?

Lately, it feels like we’re no longer optimizing websites — we’re just riding the Google roller coaster.

The Semrush Sensor is showing SERP volatility at 9.3 out of 10. We’re practically in “hold on tight” mode: rankings are jumping all over the place, websites are rising and falling, and you’re left wondering whether you’re seeing the results of your work or Google has simply decided to reshuffle the deck again.

During periods like this, I try not to make any drastic moves. Mass-rewriting content, removing backlinks, or changing the site structure based on emotions is usually a bad idea. First, you need to wait for the search results to settle down, analyze the dynamics across keyword clusters, and determine exactly what has dropped: individual pages, specific types of websites, or the entire niche.

For now, we’re recording rankings, monitoring competitors, and trying not to check the graphs every five minutes 😄

How are your projects handling the latest ride on the Google roller coaster?
